MHADA Pune Board Conducts Computerized Lottery for 792 Affordable Homes at Tathawade

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Pune Housing and Area Development Board successfully conducted the computerized lottery for the allotment of 792 affordable homes under Phase II of the Tathawade Housing Scheme on Thursday. The lottery was drawn by Pune Board Chairman Mr. Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil in the presence of senior MHADA officials.

The housing scheme received an encouraging response from homebuyers, with a total of 1,422 applications received for the 792 homes. Of the total units, 24 are earmarked for the Lower Income Group (LIG), while 768 are reserved for the Middle Income Group (MIG).

Addressing the gathering at MHADA's Housing Bhavan in Agarkar Nagar, Pune, Chairman Mr. Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil announced that the Pune Board has set an ambitious target of constructing nearly 10,000 homes in the coming years to meet the growing demand for affordable housing. He highlighted ongoing projects at Shirur, Kharabwadi near Chakan Industrial Area, and under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 in Rohkal (Khed Taluka) and Nere (Mulshi Taluka).

He also noted that possession of homes under Phase I of the Tathawade Housing Project has already been handed over, while Phase II offers modern amenities, superior construction quality, and homes at prices significantly lower than prevailing market rates.

The lottery proceedings were webcast live through MHADA's official YouTube channel, ensuring complete transparency and allowing applicants to witness the draw from their homes.

The successful conduct of the lottery reflects MHADA's continued commitment to expanding affordable housing across Maharashtra under the leadership of Vice President and CEO Mr. Sanjeev Jaiswal (IAS), while the Pune Board continues to accelerate the delivery of quality homes for citizens.

The event was attended by Pune Board Chief Officer Mr. Rahul Sakore, Executive Engineer Mrs. Manisha More, Deputy Chief Officer Mr. Rahul Shilimkar, members of the High-Level Monitoring Committee Mr. Deepak Nalawade, Mrs. Dipali Patil and Mr. Dhananjay Kulkarni, Property Manager Mr. Tushar Jaybhave, Mr. Ramchandra Bhosale and other officials.
